Your taste buds are in for a real treat this week! Not only is the LG Life Tastes Good Championships 2010 happening in the Sandton City Fountain Court from Friday 03 to Sunday 05 September, but there is also the India Food Week at the Sandton Sun Hotel that started yesterday (Monday 30 August) and runs until Sunday 05 September.

The India Show is the first of its kind to be staged in South Africa and is being hosted in the newly renovated San Restaurant at the Sandton Sun Hotel. Here you’ll have the opportunity to taste the best of Indian cuisine by some of India’s top chefs at the India Food Week.

Known for its exquisite spices, rich coffees and unique combinations of grains, breads and oils, Indian cuisine is a culinary tradition steeped in history and culture, offering a diverse menu of vegetables, meats, spicy grains, and aromatic drinks. Is your mouth watering yet?

The India Food Week is open to the public daily from 12h00 to 22h00 and will close at noon on Sunday 05 September.

For more information, please contact the Sandton Sun hotel on 011 780 5147.

Look of the Day

Sibusiso was spotted at Sandton City donning the sophisticated and refined urban look. He looks stylishly casual in a cream jersey, beige scarf, brown leather jacket, fitted jeans and dark brown shoes.

The "Refined Gentleman" is one of the key looks this season and Sibusiso is a prime example of this.

To get this look, go for leather jackets, trench coats, scarves, hats (we love fedoras, newsboy hats, ski caps and bowlers hats) and vests worn over button-down shirts. Try stick to neutral colours in your key pieces, but you can throw in a splash of colour in your accessories.

Versatility is the main essence of the look and it lets you go from the office, to the mall, to evening drinks and dinner in style and looking "the part".

Woolworths

10 ways to look fabulous

After months of hiding under layers of jerseys and coats, it's finally time to come out of the winter cocoon and try out the new spring fashion trends.

Nautical is nice

If you’ve been feeling nervous about channeling 80s tannies who sported gold anchors on their red jacket lapels, fear not.

Pump it up

A Parisian style staple – do we need another reason? – ballet flats remain summer’s go-to shoe for urban stylistas on the move.

Must-try: African Extracts Yoghurts

We've all been feeling very patriotic with the World Cup fever lately, so when we heard Woolworths have launched a new range of uniquely South African yoghurts, we just had to try them!

Gift ideas for every dad

This year, Father's Day falls right in the middle of you-know-what, which may result in plenty of side-tracked people leaving the gift-buying to the last possible minute.

Let your feet do the talking

We’re not ones to forsake a pair of heels for the option of sporting a pair of sneakers, so we have steadfastly resisted buying a pair of Superga flag sneakers for months, despite desperately wanting

Bring on the Afro-bling

We’ve never been one to shy away from a bit of an oversized accessory – especially when that accessory is a slouchy shopper or some arm candy!

Moving over Big, there are new boys in town

Okay, even we had to suspend our Sex and the City Fest to pay our respect to the new June issue of Vanity Fair (newly landed at Exclusive Books and CNA).

Wrap up

Despite the fact that hundreds of British housewives were up in arms earlier this year thanks to new supermarket rulings that they couldn’t wear their PJs to do the groceries, we don’t even think you

Another menswear moment

There we were musing over the fact that we never get to write about menswear and now we’re clocking up two days on the trot.

Most Wanted

We love this season’s off-duty look. Call it chic combat or utility, the stores are awash on olive green and khaki for a very fashionable army.

We love Woolworths’ carefully edited selection of key items and the cuffed trousers and combat palette of their new summer must-haves had us running for the rails.

While you’re there hunting down your slub cotton teeshirts and casual trousers, don’t forget to check out their new collection of statement heels.

They are hot off the international catwalks and prices start at around R300, which is super fantastic in anyone’s book!
